The Hungarian Darts Trophy, the 11th of 13 European Tour events hosted by the PDC, sees a world-class field gathering in Budapest for three days of top darting action.
The winner will collect £30,000 with England's Dave Chisnall hoping to defend the title he won 12 months ago.
The Hungarian Darts Trophy will take place from Friday 20th September to Sunday 22nd September, 2024.
There are two sessions on each of the three days of the Hungarian Darts Trophy. The afternoon session begins at 12:00 (BST) and the evening session gets going at 18:00.
The Hungarian Darts Trophy will be staged at the MVM Dome in Budapest, a 20,000 capacity arena and one of the biggest on the PDC circuit.
The Hungarian Darts Trophy can be watched via the PDC's own channel, PDC TV.
There are 48 players taking part in the Hungarian Darts Trophy with 32 qualifiers contesting round one on Friday.
The winners of those 16 ties will meet the 16 seeds in round two on Saturday. The first two rounds, plus round three and the quarter-finals are best-of-11 legs, with the semis best-of-13 and final best-of-15.
Defending champion Dave Chisnall - winner of two of the last three European Tour events this summer - is the No.1 seed ahead of Ross Smith and Luke Humphries.
Gerwyn Price is seeded at four, but the danger man based on current form has to be the No.14 seed Luke Littler, who heads to Budapest after winning the World Series of Darts in Amsterdam on Sunday.
Former world champions Rob Cross and Michael van Gerwen are also in the top 16.
Such is the strength of the depth in the PDC's ranks this year, another trio of ex-world champs - Raymond van Barneveld, Peter Wright and Michael Smith - are unseeded and will start the tournament in round one.
There are four Hungarians in the field, including Janos Vegso, who represented his country at the 2021 World Cup of Darts.
This will be the fourth running of the Hungarian Darts Trophy.
The first event was staged in 2021 with Gerwyn Price beating Michael Smith 8-2 in the final.
This is the second time the MVM Dome has staged the tournament.
The three previous runnings of the Hungarian Darts Trophy has produced three different winners.
Gerwyn Price won the inaugural event at the Budapest Sports Arena, averaging 108.74 in a stunning 8-2 demolition of Michael Smith.
Twelve months later it was Joe Cullen lifting the trophy at the SYMA Sports Centre after he thumped William O'Connor, also 8-2, in the 2022 final.
And then last year, with the tournament moved to its current home, it was Dave Chisnall who ruled the roost, beating Michael van Gerwen in the quarter-finals and edging out Luke Humphries 8-7 in a dramatic final.
