India v West Indies

India v West Indies Third ODI Prediction

Best Bet: Shubman Gill to be India top batter @ 11/5

It takes something special to overshadow India's ODI legends Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli but captain Shubman Gill has managed it in the first two matches against the West Indies.

Gill anchored the chase in the first ODI with 110 before scoring a sensational unbeaten 223 from 133 balls in the second game.

Conditions in Guwahati were perfect for batting – three West Indies players scored centuries in their total of 406-2 – but Gill should continue to thrive in New Chandigarh.

He top-scored for India with 126 against Afghanistan when the venue staged its first Test match in June and can extend his sizzling form in 50-over cricket.

The opener made 80 not out, 31 and 77 in July's series defeat in England and has an ODI batting average of 75.89 after 33 innings in India.

Alternative Bet: Jayden Seales to be West Indies top bowler @ 3/1

It has been a tough series for the visiting bowlers but paceman Jayden Seales has looked like the West Indies' biggest wicket-taking threat.

Seales pinned the in-form Rohit lbw in Wednesday's second game, having conceded only 32 runs in seven tidy overs in the first ODI.

He has shown his versatility in 50-over cricket in the past two years, taking 3-26 in Ireland, 4-84 in England, 3-48 in Bangladesh and 3-41 in New Zealand.

Seales was devastating in last year's home series against Pakistan, claiming 3-23 and 6-18 in the final two games, and could rattle India's classy batting unit.

India v West Indies Third ODI Bet Builder Tip

  • West Indies opening partnership - over 22.5

  • Virat Kohli 2+ sixes

  • Vitel Lawes 1+ wicket

Pays 22/5

West Indies had opening stands of 135 and 37 in the first two ODIs and they may well blunt India's new-ball threat again in Saturday's game.

Virat Kohli has taken his six-hitting to new levels, clearing the ropes 29 times in 11 ODI innings since November 2025. India's number three thumped nine maximums in the opening game of this series.

Windies spinner Vitel Lawes took eight wickets in his first ODI series against New Zealand in July and had Rohit dropped during Wednesday's runfest in Guwahati.
