Newly-promoted Coventry City are exploring a deal to bring Juventus striker Lois Openda to the club this summer.
Coventry have been linked with a number of potential signings as they plan for life in the Premier League.
Following a mightily impressive campaign, the Sky Blues secured the Championship title and a return to the top-flight of English football for the first time in 25 years.
Frank Lampard has a number of players who look ready to make the step up but he is also keen to add some quality to his ranks.
With Coventry installed as one of the Premier League relegation favourites, Lampard will want the club to move quickly ahead of a crucial pre-season.
Italian news outlet TuttoSport have reported that Coventry could look to bring in Belgian international Openda in an attempt to boost their attacking options.
The 26-year-old had been one of the brightest prospects in European football during impressive spells at French side Lens and Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig.
His performances at the latter led Juventus to swoop at the start of last season as they completed an initial loan deal with an obligation to buy for a fee of €40 million.
However, Openda endured a frustrating campaign as he scored twice in 34 appearances across all competitions for the Old Lady.
He was subsequently left out of Belgium's 26-man squad for the World Cup and Juventus are open to either a loan or a permanent move.
Openda is a striker who relies on his pace and, prior to his time in Italy, he had forged a strong reputation in front of goal.
If can recapture the form he showed in the Bundesliga, Coventry could be in with a chance of sealing one of the bargains of the summer.
