Conor Benn avenged his April defeat at the hands of Chris Eubank Jr with a punch-perfect display to ease to a unanimous decision verdict at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday night before revealing whether he will pursue a trilogy showdown with his long-term boxing foe.
The victory, at long last, represented a first triumph for the fabled Benn family over the Eubanks, with Conor's loss earlier this year coming on the back of a defeat for father Nigel Benn against Chris Eubank Sr as well as a split-decision draw between the pair in the 1990s.
Conor Benn had vowed to right the wrongs of the past at his pre-fight press conference on Thursday, and he duly stuck to his word by producing the most polished and articulate performance of his professional career to date.
Under the guidance of the esteemed trainer Tony Sims, Benn was punch-perfect, refusing to get himself embroiled in a fire-fight, instead utilising his jab and nifty footwork to find angles to attack his opponents body.
The 28-year-old came agonisingly close to producing a fairytail stoppage finish in the 12th and final round, but despite having Eubank Jr on the canvas on two separate occasions, the former IBO world champion just about hung on to hear the final bell.
The pair embraced following the unanimous decision verdict in Benn's favour, before the victor was asked the question as to whether fight fans can look forward to a third clash with the rivalry now delicate poised at one win apiece.
"It's been some journey but I feel this is the end of the Benn-Eubank saga," the Matchroom star told DAZN immediately after the fight.
Chris (Eubank) has twins coming and I have my boy - this ends here, it has to.

"I've got one over my dad now, and he can't ever take that away from me - this was all about making him proud tonight, and I am so, so blessed to have been able to do it."
Benn was understandably keen to bask in his own glory during his post-fight media briefing rather than take any further swipes at Eubank Jr.
The pair have fired verbal assaults at each other in the weeks leading up to fight night, each promising to prevail in what was described as one of the biggest fights of the year.
However, despite the two holding a decade-long disdain for one another, Benn did make a point of highlighting the role his opponent had played in an historic domestic double-header.
"Listen, this wouldn't have been what it was without Chris; this is generational so credit to Chris - that's all I have got to say," he added.
"Thank you for sharing the ring with me - not bad for two silver spoon kids, hey."
