Celtic have reportedly made an initial enquiry to sign forward Kieron Bowie from Serie A side Hellas Verona.
Bowie only joined the Italian outfit in the January transfer window and he scored four goals in 13 appearances over the remainder of the season.
Despite penning a four-year contract, Celtic are interested in securing his signature this summer according to Italian news outlet Tuttomercatoweb.
Celtic had previously shown an interest in Bowie prior to his move to Italy and they are now keen to establish whether there could be an opportunity to take him to Glasgow.
Bologna are also believed to be interested in a move for Bowie this summer and could rival Celtic in the bidding.
After progressing through the youth academy at Raith Rovers, Bowie earned a move to Fulham before enjoying two successful seasons out on loan at Northampton Town.
His performances saw Hibernian secure his services for a considerable undisclosed fee and he proved to be a hit in his 18 months in Edinburgh.
Bowie netted 15 goals in 52 appearances for Hibernian ahead of his move to Serie A and Celtic believe there is more to come from the striker.
The 23-year-old has been capped twice for Scotland and he could prove to be a valuable addition for the Scottish Premiership champions next season.
