Celtic are still interested in signing Blackburn goalkeeper Balazs Toth, according to reports in the Football Insider.
The Hungarian 'keeper was repeatedly linked with a move to Celtic Park throughout the summer window and has rejected a new contract that would secure his long-term future with Rovers.
The 29-year-old's current deal at Ewood Park is set to expire in June 2027 and Football Insider's chief transfer correspondent Pete O'Rourke understands that he could be allowed to leave in January, in order for Blackburn to receive some kind of fee.
Rovers valued Toth at £4m in the summer, however, he would be allowed to leave for a much reduced price this winter.
Toth has been capped 11 times for Hungary and has quickly established himself as one of the most impressive shot-stoppers in the Championship following his switch from Fehervar in 2024.
At the end of his second season at Blackburn, he was named Players' Player of the Year.
Martin O'Neill is still seeking a permanent solution between the sticks; both Sam Johnstone and Viljami Sinisalo trading places in the starting XI this season.
The Bhoys are chasing down a sixth consecutive Scottish Premiership title after securing their 56th league success on the final day of last season in a dramatic clash with Hearts. O'Neill's men sit four points clear of bitter rivals Rangers, who have picked up in recent weeks following a tricky start to the campaign.
