Canada v Bosnia and Herzegovina Player of the Match odds

Take a look at the latest odds for Player of the Match as co-hosts Canada get their World Cup campaign underway against Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Jesse Marsch's side will be hopeful of following in their fellow hosts' footsteps in getting off to a winning start, but they'll have to do so without Alphonso Davies, who won't be fit to start the World Cup.

Group B is highly competitive and all four teams have a chance of progressing to the knockout rounds. With Switzerland odds-on favourites to top the group, Canada and Bosnia may find themselves fighting it out for the other automatic qualification spot, and a positive result tonight will go a long way towards securing that.

While Canada will be without the influential Davies, they still do have star striker Jonathan David leading the line, and the Juventus man is favourite to take Player of the Match.

Sharing the goalscoring burden will be Cyle Larin, most recently seen on loan with Southampton, and he's second favourite for Player of the Match. Bosnia's shortest priced player is understandably talisman Edin Dzeko ahead of Emerdin Demirovic, while Benfica defender Amar Dedic, keeper Nikola Vasilj, Tarik Muharemovic and the exciting youngsters Esmir Bajrakterevic and Kerim Alajbegovic, are their next shortest at 7/1.

Interestingly, despite the Player of the Match being awarded via a fan vote, neither fan favourites Raul Jimenez nor Son Heung-min took the prize in Thursday's games, though the goalscoring Julian Quinones and Hwang In-beom did land the honour.
