Ascot hosts its brilliant British Champions Day meeting on Saturday 17th October.
More than £4m is up for grabs in what is the most lucrative racecard ran anywhere in Britain & Ireland all season long.
Due to its position in the calendar, the ground can often be fairly testing; not something that many will be used to when running through the height of summer. However, this year, conditions look set to be fairly quick.
In fact, there have only been two occasions in the last 10 years when British Champions Day has been ran on ground without 'soft' anywhere in the description.
Many would associate softer ground with slightly more unpredictable results, but when the meeting was ran on good in 2025, Powerful Glory and Cicero's Gift won races at 200/1 and 100/1 respectively.
The going at Ascot is currently being advertised as GOOD, with going stick readings of 8.4 on the Straight Course and 7.5 on the Round Course.
Little to no rain has been forecast has been forecast in the build-up to racing which means that the ground could yet get quicker.
