West Ham are set to break the record for the highest attendance at a Championship game when welcoming Charlton Athletic on Saturday afternoon.
The Hammers confirmed that they are preparing for a 62,500 sell-out crowd against Nathan Jones' side in East London, with the hosts embarking on their first Championship season at the London Stadium.
With Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur playing away from home, the Irons will have the highest attendance in the entirety of the UK this weekend.
West Ham's home games were played at the Boleyn Ground in their most recent second-tier campaign in 2011/12, and while devoted supporters often recall a more homely atmosphere at their former stadium, the switch to a bigger Stratford-based venue will allow them to shatter numerous attendance records upon their return to the Championship.
As we await confirmation of West Ham's sell-out crowd, we take a look at the top five biggest attendances in the Championship since its rebrand in 2004/05, excluding games at Wembley Stadium.
