Brentford are reportedly looking to conclude a deal to sign former England international Callum Wilson this summer.
Wilson spent last season at West Ham United after arriving on a free transfer from Newcastle United last summer.
The 34-year-old scored seven goals in 35 in all competitions for the Hammers but he was unable to prevent the club's relegation from the Premier League.
Wilson is now a free agent following the expiration of his contract at the London Stadium.
Sports Boom have reported that the striker is closing in on a move to Brentford as talks continue to progress.
It is claimed that an agreement could be reached within the next couple of weeks as Brentford look to build on their impressive ninth-placed finish last season.
Keith Andrews' side had been tipped as relegation contenders last summer but they defied expectations as they launched a challenge for European football before falling short on the final day of the season.
The seemingly imminent signing of Wilson will add more depth to their attacking options and he will provide competition for Brazil international Igor Thiago.
Wilson is now in the twilight of his career but he showed last season that he can still be called upon in the top-flight, even if he is likely to spend most of his time coming on from the bench.
The move also provides Wilson with an opportunity to stay in the Premier League as West Ham United prepare for life in the Championship.
