Brentford are reportedly in talks to sign Senegalese left-back El Hadji Malick Diouf from West Ham United.
Diouf signed a long-term contract when he joined West Ham for a fee of £19 million from Slavia Prague last summer.
The 21-year-old featured 32 times for the club in the Premier League last season and was one of the club's standout performers.
However, he was unable to keep the club in the top-flight and he now faces the prospect of Championship football.
Reports have suggested that he could be handed a Premier League lifeline, with Foot Mercato claiming that Brentford are at the front of the queue to sign the player.
Brentford have reportedly submitted an offer but it is believed that a number of teams are interested in a deal.
Keith Andrews' side enjoyed a fantastic 2025/26 campaign and they are looking to sustain that success this season.
The potential acquisition of Diouf would give them an excellent option at left-back and he remains a player with a potentially significant resale value.
