Anthony Joshua will be forced to adhere to a strict weight restriction for his hugely-anticipated showdown with Jake Paul in December.
It will represent the first time that the two-time heavyweight champion will have had to come in under a specified weight since turning professional back in 2013.
Whilst the fight will be contested at heavyweight, which typically means fighters can come at any weight of their choosing, with no upper-limit, AJ will this time around need to ensure that he tips the scales at no higher than 245lbs at the official weigh-in 24 hours from fight night.
The news means Joshua will likely come in at around half-a-stone lighter than he has done in recent years, with the Matchroom star weighing 252lbs for his most recent outing against Daniel Dubois last year.
That said, in each of his two bouts with pound-for-pound king Oleksandr Usyk, Joshua came in at 240lbs and 244lbs - beneath the limit he has been set for next month's clash.
Still, even at 245lbs, Joshua should still possess a clear size and weight advantage over his opponent, who has only ever fought in the blue-riband division on one previous occasion.
Paul's fight with former heavyweight champion of the world Mike Tyson 12 months ago culminated in the former YouTuber weighing in at a career-high 227lbs, well over a stone lighter than Joshua's contracted weight restriction.
The American typically comes in around the 200lbs marker however - almost FOUR STONE lighter than AJ's natural weight - given the majority of professional fights he has undertaken to date have come in the cruiserweight division.
The upcoming bout will be contested over eight three-minute rounds with both fighters donning 10oz gloves.
Anthony Joshua must come in now heavier than 245lbs for his fight with Jake Paul, it has been officially announced by MVP promoter and Jake Paul's advisor Nakisa Bidarian.
