BOXXER chief Ben Shalom has announced Adam Azim will headline a fight card in London at the end of January.
The undefeated 23-year-old will top the bill at an event in the capital on the 31st January, with an opponent yet to be named.
The event will be shown live in the UK on BBC Two and streamed live on BBC iPlayer as part of BOXXER's deal with the broadcaster.
Azim collected the 14th victory of his burgeoning professional career when he defeated American Kurt Scoby on the Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn II undercard earlier this month.
From the opening bell Azim's speed proved too much for the overmatched Scoby, who nonetheless managed to make it to the 12th and final round before the referee stopped the fight with one minute remaining.
Speaking to Ring Magazine, Shalom claimed that a fight broadcast free-to-air in the UK could prove to be a 'watershed' moment for the former amateur standout.
"In his next fight, he's going to fight in a headliner on BBC2," he said.
"I believe it will be a huge watershed moment for him. I think he's announced himself on the global scene now and I think the US have seen how talented a fighter he is in his last few fights.
"Now he’s got a big headline event in his toughest test to date on January 31 in London. It’s something that we are putting together now and it will kick off a huge year for him.”
