Lawrence Shankland's second-half penalty secured a precious 1-0 win for Rangers against Aberdeen on Sunday afternoon.
Rangers headed to Pittodrie following an embarrassing UEFA Conference League exit on Thursday, where they lost on penalties to Czech side Jablonec.
Their exit followed their UEFA Europa League elimination to Polish outfit Jagiellonia earlier this month and manager Derek McInnes has already found himself under pressure.
After picking up a solitary point from their first two Scottish Premiership fixtures, Shankland was on hand to relieve some of the pressure on McInnes.
Rangers were awarded a penalty in the 69th minute following a foul on Djeidi Gassama by defender Dan Happe, with Gers captain Shankland stepping up to send the goalkeeper the wrong way.
Aberdeen thought they had grabbed a late equaliser seven minutes from time courtesy of Kevin Nisbet's close-range header, but the goal was disallowed following a VAR review due to a foul in the build-up.
