Aberdeen are reportedly closing in on the signing of Livingston winger Lewis Smith.
Manager Stephen Robinson has been keen to add more attacking options to a team that finished ninth in the Scottish Premiership table last season.
A top-six finish will be seen as a minimum requirement in the new season and Robinson, who was appointed in March, will know that he has to hit the ground running.
Robinson opted to leave St Mirren to move to Pittodrie and there will also be a big part of him that will want to ensure that he has made the right move.
His wish for reinforcements is seemingly now gathering pace, with the Daily Record reporting that they are closing in on a signing.
It is claimed that a £300,000 deal has been agreed for the signing of Lewis Smith from Livingston.
The 26-year-old has been given permission to speak to the club and is expected to agree terms on a long-term deal.
Whilst Livingston endured a dismal campaign that resulted in relegation last season, Smith was arguably their best player.
He scored seven goals in 35 league matches during the last campaign and was one of a select group of players to keep their reputation intact.
Smith is capable of playing out wide but he could also fill the number 10 position for Aberdeen next season.
