A-League Grand Final odds: Auckland FC favourites to beat Sydney FC

The stage is set for a thrilling A-League Grand Final as Auckland FC and Sydney FC battle it out for glory at the Go Media Stadium.

Auckland are attempting to make break new ground by becoming the first ever New Zealand team to be crowned A-League champions and they come into Saturday's showpiece full of confidence after a superb victory at Adelaide United.

The Black Knight had been held to a 1-1 draw at home in the first leg of their semi-final clash, but they showed their attacking quality as goals from Jake Girdwood-Reich, Sam Cosgrove and Logan Rogerson secured a 3-0 victory to move them a step closer to making history.

Steve Corica's side finished third in the league table and a lot of their success was down to a solid defence which only conceded 29 goals in total.

AFC will also be boosted by an unbeaten head-to-head record against their final opponents, where they have won two and drawn four of their six previous encounters.

Sydney FC are aiming to achieve a first success since 2020 and win a record-extending sixth A-League Grand Final.

The Sky Blues experienced a thrilling semi-final as they overcame table toppers Newcastle Jets in a dramatic semi-final - winning 4-2 on penalties after the tie ended 2-2 on aggregate.
