Weston McKennie made his USMNT debut in November of 2017 against Portugal when he was 19 years, 2 months, and 17 days old. McKennie made an immediate impact by scoring America's lone goal in a 1-1 draw against the reigning European Champions.

The 27-year-old holds the record for the fastest hat trick from the start of a USMNT match, scoring three goals withing the first 13 minutes of the USA's 7-0 win over Cuba in the Concacaf Nations League opener on October 11, 2019.

McKennie has been a staple of the USMNT squad since becoming a regular starter, but has also dealt with multiple injuries throughout his career, keeping him out of many competitions.

The Juventus star has captained his nation on three occasions, and won U.S. Soccer's Male Player of the Year award in 2020.

Weston McKennie's Club Career

Weston McKennie began his career in the FC Dallas academy, but has played his entire senior career in Europe. McKennie has played for three teams in his senior career, Schalke 04 (Germany), Juventus (Italy), and Leeds United (England) on loan.

Mckennie made his professional debut with Schalke on May 20, 2017 at 18-years-old, and played four seasons with the German side before transferring to Serie A giants, Juventus in 2020.

In May 2021, McKennie became the first first American to play in and win the Coppa Italia, starting and going the distance in Juventus' 2-1 win against Atalanta.

McKennie had a tumultuous first few years with Juventus, and was sent out on loan to American owned and managed Leeds United in England in 2023.

Upon his return to Italy, McKennie production and playing time has skyrocketed. In the 2025/26, the Little Elm, Texas native is having the best season of his career, scoring nine goals, and adding five assists in 46 appearances.

The Juventus breakout has been a central midfielder for most of his career, but this season he has been deployed as a striker, wide midfielder, central midfielder, and fullback by manager Luciano Spalletti.
