The USA handled Latvia in the first game of the Group Round of the Men's Ice Hockey event in the 2026 Winter Olympics, with four different Americans scoring a goal.
Brock Nelson scored twice, Brady Tkachuk scored the first goal of the game, and Tage Thompson and Auston Matthews each added power play goals of their own.
In total the US put up 38 total shots on goal, dominating play throughout the game.
Next up on the docket for the United States is the second game of the Group Round against Denmark.
The Danish team features a few NHL players such as Nikolaj Ehlers, Oliver Bjorkstrand, and Lars Eller, but they fell to Germany 3-1 in the first round.
Frederik Andersen (Carolina Hurricanes) will presumably be the starting goalie for Denmark, and he'll face several premier offensive threats on the US.
