Mirra Andreeva vs. Coco Gauff Predictions & Best Bets

Coco Gauff is one of three American players to have sealed their spot in the US Open quarter-final and the fourth seed has every right to believe that she can go all the way.

Gauff won the first of her two Grand Slam titles to date in New York in 2023 and after a slow start to the season she has come on strongly.

The 22-year-old made the semi-final at Wimbledon and warmed up for the home Grand Slam with a title triumph in Cincinnati, where she defeated American compatriot Jessica Pegula in the final.

Gauff is yet to drop a set on her way to the quarter-final at Flushing Meadows and was in irresistible form in the fourth round, easing past fellow American Iva Jovic 6-1 6-4.

Things may prove tougher against Mirra Andreeva, who is also a Grand Slam champion having won the French Open earlier in the season.

The fearless teenager had to come from a set down to see off Anastasia Potapova in the last 16 and she is yet to lay a glove on Gauff in their previous meetings.

Gauff, who is undefeated in five meetings with Andreeva, is -200 to come out on top again while the 19-year-old is +163 to cause the upset.

Mirra Andreeva vs. Coco Gauff betting picks and predictions

Coco Gauff to win 2-0 (+120)

Andreeva is undoubtedly a tougher test than Gauff has faced so far at this year's US Open but the American can still cruise into the semi-final.

Gauff has recorded four straight-sets victories in New York and she has a perfect record against Andreeva, having won all five of their past meetings.

Three of those five wins, which includes at the 2023 US Open, have ended 2-0 and there is every hope that the American can repeat the feat.

Gauff has lost only two of her 21 matches since the end of June and is on a ten-match winning streak after her recent title success in Cincinnati.

The world number four has found her best form at the perfect time and her last nine wins have all been recorded in straight sets.

Gauff has been working on her serve and forehand with biomechanics specialist Gavin MacMillan and that decision has been reaping the rewards.

Under 4.5 total match aces (-120)

While Gauff has been working on her serve, aces may be difficult to come by with Andreeva so good on the return.

The same can be said for Gauff, who rarely misses a ball due to her excellent athleticism, and backing there to be four or fewer aces makes great appeal.

There have been four or less aces in three of their five meetings and the other two only reached five, with one of those going to a deciding set.

Gauff's last two wins over Cristina Bucsa and Jovic featured a total of only three aces while three of Andreeva's four US Open victories have gone less than five aces.

Over 10.5 total match double faults (-110)

These are two players that can put a lot of pressure on themselves as they chase perfection and both are prone to a high number of double faults.

Andreeva had eight double faults in her fourth-round win over Potapova, a contest which featured 14 in total, and that means her last three US Open outings have reached double figures.

Gauff has had 16 double faults across her four tournament appearances and there were ten double faults in her only previous meeting with Andreeva this year, which came in a quarter-final victory in Rome in May.
