The US Masters cut line is widely considered the hardest cut to make in golf, here's why.
The cut line at the Masters is on every players mind heading into the second round at Augusta. After 36 holes, only the top 50 players and ties advance to the weekend, while the rest of the field is eliminated before Saturday's third round.
As scores shift throughout the day, the projected cut line can move several times before becoming official at the end of the second round on Friday, April 10th.
As of 2020, the US Masters went away with the 10-Shot Rule. From 2012 - 2020, the 36-hole cut was expanded to the top 50 and ties, as well as anyone within 10 strokes of the leader.
Now, if a player is in within 10 shots of the leader but outside the top 50 and ties, they will not advance to the weekend rounds. It ensures that the players who are left in the field are competitive and represent the best golfers in the tournament.

The other major golf championships cut lines vary depending on the event. The Masters has the lowest cut then follows The U.S. Open with top 60 players and ties, while both the PGA Championship and Open Championship cut is top 70 and ties.
