Alexander Volkanovski will once again have to prove his greatness as he faces unbeaten Russian Movsar Evloev at UFC 333.
It's a stacked night of fights with the highly anticipated bantamweight world title trilogy between Petr Yan and Merab Dvalishvili taking place in the co-main event.
The event takes place on Saturday October 24 at the Etihad Arena, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
The fights begin at 10 AM ET with the Early Preliminary Card, followed by the Preliminary Card at 12 PM ET and the Main Card at 2PM ET.
Our article will give you our two best bets for the main event, as well as the current moneyline odds for UFC 333: Volkanovski vs. Evloev.
Volkanovski (28-4-0) will once again have his credentials tested as the sport's best ever featherweight when he faces unbeaten number one contender Evloev (20-0-0).
Volkanovski is in his second reign as the 145lb champion, first ruling the division between 2018 and 2024 with five successful defences, defined by a clean sweep trilogy against Max Holloway.
Prior to losing his belt to Ilia Topuria, the 38-year-old stepped up to lightweight to face Islam Makhachev, running the 155 lb champion close in defeat in their first encounter, before being TKO'd after taking the rematch at short notice.
Following the Topuria loss, the Australian defeated Diego Lopes by unanimous decision for the vacant title in April 2025, before repeating the feat in January.
Now Evloev represents fresh blood with the unbeaten fighter getting his title opportunity in his 11th UFC contest.
The Russian defeated Lerone Murphy by majority decision in March to earn the opportunity, with other recent wins coming against Aljamain Sterling (UD), Arnold Allen (UD) and Lopes (UD).
The 32-year-old has yet to get a finish inside the Octagon and brings a chain wrestling style that although may not have shown to have a fight ending threat, can equally suffocate his opponents ability to break free and impose their own game plan.
Volkanovski has shown superb takedown attempts and scrambles throughout his career, as witnessed when stepping up to lightweight in his first fight with the much bigger opponent in Makhachev.
The Australian brings a high fight I.Q. and his striking combinations, feints and distance management have made him a tough puzzle to solve.
Volkanovski is also no stranger to the judges' scorecards, with 10 of his 15 UFC wins having come via decision.
This fight is likely to be won and lost in the wrestling exchanges.
Can Evloev break Volkanovski's rhythm with his wrestling? Or will the veteran be able to use his takedown defence and scrambles to keep this on the feet?
The Russian has passed every test so far, however his fights have been getting closer, as his match-up with Sterling and first five-rounder with Murphy showed.
Evloev has an ever-improving striking game and likes to work the body and incorporate an array of knees and spinning attacks to his arsenal.
However, Volkanovski has proved he can make major adjustments between rounds and, if he escapes often enough, he can still most definitely land the cleaner standing offense.
This is Volkanovski's 12th straight championship contest and, with few signs of him slowing down in his most recent bouts with Lopes, the Australian's experience is worth siding with here.
