UFC Fight Night continues in Las Vegas on Saturday, November 7, featuring a heavyweight showdown with the main card scheduled for 8:00 p.m. ET (5:00 p.m. PT).
After an injury forced the original welterweight main event off the card, heavyweights Waldo Cortes-Acosta and Johnny Walker stepped in to headline on just nine days' notice.
Short-notice replacements can bring additional financial considerations, so let's take a closer look at the athletes' estimated earnings.
Unlike numbered UFC events, Fight Night cards tend to follow a more standard compensation structure rather than the larger promotional payouts often associated with major events.
The UFC does not publicly disclose athlete purses, so the following estimations for Waldo Cortes-Acosta and Johnny Walker are based on athlete rankings, previous reported payouts and matchup history.
