Kelce is primarily a receiving TE and is not used as a blocker on passing plays. Kelce is physical with soft-hands and has a strong ability to catch the ball in traffic across the middle of the field. Kelce is often used in short yardage gains, especially later in his career rather than big explosive plays down the field.
In 2024, the Chiefs signed Kelce to a two-year $34,250,000 contract extension which will take him through 2025. The contract included $17 million guaranteed.
