Taking a look at the 2022 NBA Draft class, it is difficult to distinguish multiple players that are still developing as NBA players.
In this redraft, the players who went first and second overall - Paolo Banchero and Chet Holmgren - would likely be selected in the same places if teams got a do-over.
The story of this draft class is that four players to play for the 2025 NBA Champion, Oklahoma City Thunder, would be selecting within the first round.
Chet Holmgrem and Jalen Williams headline those players, but Ousmane Dieng and Jaylin Williams have also proved valuable to a great NBA team.
In this redraft, six second-round picks would crack the top-30, and five players who went undrafted would also find themselves in the mix.

Paolo Banchero goes first overall again in this redraft, even though some have discussed whether or not he can lead a franchise with NBA Finals aspirations.
Banchero has averaged 22.1 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 4.7 assists in his career as of the 2026 All-Star break.
Chet Holmgren and Jalen Williams go first and second in this redraft, and have proven that they can be major contributors on a Championship winning team, but they were the 2nd and 3rd best players on the team behind league MVP, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
Jalen Duren is a force to be reckoned with in the NBA at just 22-years-old, and he made his first All-Star game in the 2025/26 season while averaging 17.7 points and 10.4 rebounds.
Duren is a physical and broad center at 250 lbs, and has been remarkable running the pick-and-roll with his Detroit Pistons teammate Cade Cunningham.
Shaedon Sharpe, Christian Braun, Walker Kessler, Bennedict Mathurin, and Andrew Nembhard are all capable starters for their respective teams, and each offers a key skillset.
Each player has to capabilities to possible make an All-Star team in their careers, but they are closer to high-end role player rather than the face of a franchise.
Collin Gillespie is the first undrafted player selected in this redraft thanks to a breakout season with the Phoenix Suns. Gillespie averaged 13.2 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 4.7 assists at the time of this redraft (55 games into the 2025/26 NBA season).
Ryan Rollins is having a similar breakout season with the Milwaukee Bucks. Rollins is averaging a career high 16.9 points 5.5 assists, and 4.6 rebounds win the 2025/26 NBA season.
The 2022 NBA draft class is still developing at a rapid rate, and could look very differently in 1, 2, or 5, years from now.
