Patriots vs. Seahawks Predictions, Player Props & Best Bets

The last match-up of the 2025 NFL season is also the first clash of the 2026 season as the New England Patriots meet the Seattle Seahawks in a repeat of Super Bowl LX.

The Seahawks recorded a convincing 29-13 win in that game in February to win their first championship for 12 years and they will have home advantage at Lumen Field in Seattle for the first game of their title defense.

The Patriots had a dream run to win the AFC last season after a 14-3 regular-season campaign but Mike Vrabel's team have a tough cross-country trip as the NFL kicks off again on Wednesday night.

Seattle Seahawks -3.5 (-105)

The Seahawks and Patriots meet again just seven months on from their Super Bowl showdown in Santa Clara and the outcome could be similar with the Seahawks expected to get their 2026 season off to a winning start.

Both teams will have a slightly different look to the rosters that faced each other in California, with the most obvious change to the Seahawks being in their running backs unit.

Seattle powered their championship challenge with their rushing duo of Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker III and Zach Charbonnet but neither of them will be in action on Wednesday as Walker is now on the Kansas City Chiefs and Charbonnet will miss at least the first four games on the PUP list after ACL surgery.

Head coach Mike Macdonald can still test the Patriots' run defence though, after the team drafted exciting rookie running back Jadarian Price, and they still have their championship-winning passing offence, with QB Sam Darnold targeting elite wideout Jaxon Smith-Njigba, veterans Cooper Kupp and Rashid Shaheed and tight end AJ Barner.

The Patriots have retooled their offense with the arrival of wide receivers AJ Brown from the Eagles and Romeo Doubs from the Packers, but they could be missing running back TreVeyon Henderson with an ankle injury, leaving Rhamondre Stevenson to carry the load.

The Seahawks are not as healthy as they would like in their secondary but they were clearly the better outfit when everything was on the line in their last meeting with the Patriots and the spread is not large enough to make taking the favorites unattractive.

Romeo Doubs over 37.5 receiving yards (-110)

The Patriots could get very little going on the ground in the Super Bowl, putting their usual game plan out of the picture, as Henderson and Stevenson combined for just 42 rushing yards on 13 carries and QB Drake Maye ended up as the team's leading rusher with 37 yards.

With the Seattle defense set to be solid against the run again, the visitors will have to take to the air in an effort to put points on the board and that could lead to a solid debut from new recruit Romeo Doubs. Doubs has escaped a crowded wide receiver room in Green Bay to partner headline arrival AJ Brown this season and his receiving yards line looks on the low side given his talent.

He ended his time with the Packers by making eight receptions on 11 targets for 124 yards and a touchdown against the Bears in the playoffs and went over his line for this game in 10 games last season.

With Seattle having injury concerns over Ty Okada and Nick Emmanwori in their secondary, Doubs should be able to reach at least 40 yards on his Patriots debut.

Jadarian Price over 7.5 receiving yards (-110)

Running back Jadarian Price looks set to play a key role for the Seahawks in his first NFL game, and the rookie's receiving yards appear to be low at just 7.5.

Walker had 26 receiving yards on just two carries against the Patriots in the Super Bowl and Price is even more shifty than his predecessor and capable of exceeding this line with just one catch.
