NBA Finals: Knicks vs. Spurs Series Odds

The San Antonio Spurs entered the NBA Finals on the back of a gruelling seven-game triumph over the reigning NBA Champions, the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The Spurs have collided with the New York Knicks in the Finals this year, with the Knicks jumping out to an early 2-0 lead after being much more rested than their opponents in Texas.

Jalen Brunson and Knicks made light work of the Eastern Conference winning 11 straight games in the playoffs including sweeps of the Philadelphia 76ers and Cleveland Cavaliers, before making in 13 in a row in San Antonio.

San Antonio did get a game back in New York on Monday night in front of a star studded New York crowd that was overeager to go up 3-0 in the series.

New York is cruising, but have not been nearly as battle tested as San Antonio, who went to war against the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Thunder in back-to-back series.

22-year-old Victor Wembanyama has elevated this Spurs team in a flash, arriving in the Finals way ahead of the schedule with a second-year Stephon Castle and rookie Dylan Harper has two of his top running mates.

The young Spurs began as favorites against New York, but Brunson's Knicks have the veteran presence custom in Championship winning teams has completely flipped the script.

The biggest question in the NBA Finals is how to guard the 7' 5" alien, Wembanyama? OG Anunoby's name comes to mind first, but he'll be gives up a lot of size against the young Frenchman.
