Moises Caicedo made his Ecuador debut in 2020 at 18-years-old during the nations World Cup qualification campaign for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Since making his debut, Caicedo has been a key figure in the team and has even captained the team on three occasions.
Caicedo made his World Cup debut in Qatar, playing all 90-minutes of Ecuador's three matches at the 2022 tournament. He also scored one of his three international goals in the teams' 1-2 loss against Senegal.
Caicedo's impact was fully on display during the 2026 World Cup qualifying tournament, where Ecuador conceded only five goals in 18 matches and finished second behind 2022 World Cup winners Argentina.

Moises Caicedo began his club career debut with Independiente in Ecuador's LigaPro Serie A at 17-years-old. After two promising seasons, Caicedo earned himself a move to Brighton in the English Premier League for $33.2 million.
After two more seasons with Brighton, Chelsea came knocking on Brighton's door, and offered a whopping $136.6 million for his signature.
Once at Chelsea, Caicedo has become one of the best defensive midfielders not just in the league, but in the entire world. He has played over 140 matches and counting with Chelsea, and is one of the few players on the team that cannot come off the field no matter who the manager is.
