Matthew Golden Injury Status: Packers Receiver Questionable for Thursday Night

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Matthew Golden is truly questionable for Thursday night's home game against the Carolina Panthers.

Golden entered last week's game with a shoulder injury, but he was able to still log 85% of offensive snaps and caught six balls. However, he is now also dealing with a foot issue that popped up after the game.

The second-year receiver was listed as a non-participant on Monday's practice estimate and did not practice on Tuesday either. However, his status was upgraded to "limited" on Wednesday, opening the door for an active designation in tomorrow's game.

Will Matthew Golden Play on Thursday?

Golden's status will be confirmed about 90 minutes prior to the 8:15 PM ET kickoff, according to Rotowire.

In his second season, Golden has taken a massive step up in his production compared to his rookie year. After finishing last year with 29 receptions for 361 yards and not scoring once, the former Texas Longhorn already has 36 receptions, 540 yards, and three touchdowns in his sophomore year. His speed, body control, and hands that make him a first-round pick have translated very nicely to the pros.
