Wrexham were drowning in the Nation League (England's fifth tier) in 2022, but an influx of passion and fandom from owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney helped the Welsh club earn three consecutive promotions to the English Championship (England's second tier).
Wrexham will be eyeing the Premier League next season, and that starts will a preseason friendly against of one the Premier League's big six, Liverpool. Liverpool have played in the Premier League every season since the 1962-63 season.
Liverpool will face Wrexham at Yankee Stadium in a preseason match on Wednesday, July 29th.
The match will kickoff at 7:30 PM EST in New York City, New York (6:30 PM CST / 5:30 PM MST / 4:30 PM PST)
Liverpool and Wrexham's preseason match will be primarily broadcast on ESPN for viewers in the United States.

The last competitive game between Liverpool and Wrexham came on January 17, 1978 in the League Cup. Liverpool won the game 3-1.
