Denver Summit FC captain Lindsay Heaps is listed as day-to-day while while dealing with a minor knee injury.
Heaps is dealing with swelling in her knee from an injury that she sustained prior to the Summit's match against the North Carolina Courage in NWSL. She was also held out of the Summit's following match against the Utah Royals.
Heaps joined her hometown NWSL expansion team, Denver Summit FC, this summer after a three-year stint with OL Lyonnes in France. The USWNT star played three games for Denver, picking up one assist before going down with the knee injury.
The Denver Summit medical staff are monitoring her process, and will proceed with caution in order to protect her long-term availability for the team.
Denver Summit currently sit 10th in the NWSL (two points out of an NWSL playoff spot) with a 6-5-7 record for 23 points.
The Denver Summit will play the San Diego Wave at Snapdragon stadium on Friday, August 14th at 7:00 PM PST.

Lindsey Heaps is listed as out on the NWSL's Availability Report. She will not participate in the game against San Diego, alongside Jasmine Aikey (Knee), Jordan Baggett (Maternity Leave), and Nahikari Garcia (Knee).
Heaps' injury is not considered serious, but the Summit are exercising extreme caution with their 32-year-old star.
Heaps is expected to return to action against the Portland Thorns (8/22) or Chicago Stars (8/29).
