League of Legends World Championship Winners by Year

Cameron Kelly

The League of Legends World Championship is an annual eSports tournament hosted by Riot Games.

Teams from around the globe compete for the title, Summoner's Cup, and a multi-million dollar prize.

The T1 team holds the record with six World Championship titles and are chasing a fourth consecutive victory this year. Historically, teams from South Korea's LCK and China's LPL have consistently outperformed other regions. The DRX team made history in 2022 by becoming the first-ever fourth round seed to battle through the Play-In stage and win the tournament.
