The Colorado Rapids host St. Louis City in the US Open Cup semifinals on Wednesday night.
This will be Rafa Navarro's first game against his former club. Navarro scored 44 goals in 114 appearances for the Rapids before joining St. Louis this summer. Colorado are betting on young forwards Darren Yapi and Donavan Phillip to fill the void left by Navarro.
The Rapids knocked the San Jose Earthquakes out of the US Open Cup in the quarterfinal with a 2-0 victory.
St. Louis earned their place in the semifinal by defeating the Houston Dynamo on penalties after the game ended 2-2 in regulation.
