In a wild French Open that includes plenty of lower-ranked players on both the men's and women's side, No. 8-seeded Mirra Andreeva is the highest remaining seed left.
Andreeva will take on No. 15 Marta Kostyuk in the upcoming semifinal where the winner will make her first appearance in a Grand Slam final.
Andreeva, 19-years-old, has only dropped one set throughout the entirety of the tournament, which came in the second round. In the quarterfinal, she dominated No. 18 Sorana Cirstea 6-0, 6-3.
The Russian is strong and precise with her shots, highlighted by her 18 winners struck in just 56 minutes against Cirstea.
On the other side of the court will be the Ukranian Kostyuk. It's been an emotional ride for the 23-year-old who has dedicated her run to "the people of Ukraine."
She defeated fellow Ukrainian Elina Svitolina in the quarterfinal - a former World No. 3 and the best women's player in the country's history.
Before her epic three-set match against Svitolina, Kostyuk had an impressive straight-set win against No. 3 Iga Swiatek in the fourth round. Her second round matchup against American Katie Volynets went to three sets as well, but she had the mental strength to fight through a 0-1 set deficit.
The semifinal between Kostyuk and Andreeva should be a close match full of passion and emotion. The Ukrainian is 2-0 against the Russian in her career, including 1-0 on clay which came at the Madrid Open final of this year. Let's get into how you can watch this matchup.
Kostyuk vs. Andreeva will start at 9:00 a.m. ET / 8:00 a.m. CT / 6:00 a.m. PT from Philippe Chatrier court in Paris, France - the main clay court at Roland Garros.
