Florida vs. Missouri Predictions, Player Props & Best Bets

Florida Gators and Missouri Tigers are set for an SEC matchup on Saturday afternoon at Memorial Stadium in Columbia, MO.

This is a highly-anticipated Top-25 matchup, as Florida is ranked No. 8 in the country while Missouri is ranked 25th.

Florida enters with a perfect 4-0 record in Year 1 under head coach Jon Sumrall, while Missouri is 3-1 and coming off its first loss of the season last week against Mississippi State.

With kick-off slated for 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC, it's time to break down the odds and go over the best bets to make for this SEC clash.

Florida vs. Missouri betting picks and predictions

Missouri +5.5 (-110)

The Gators have been one of the most impressive teams in college football this season. The Jon Sumrall era is off to a roaring start with a 4-0 record and 2-0 start in SEC play, but now they have a target on their backs.

Florida is going to get Missouri's best in this one. It's homecoming in Columbia and the Tigers faithful are sure to create a raucous environment in this contest.

Missouri already has a loss and has an extremely tough schedule looming. After this contest, Missouri still has matchups against Texas A&M, No. 9 Ole Miss, No. 1 Texas, and No. 2 Georgia over the next few weeks.

That means the sense of urgency from Eli Drinkwitz's team should be extremely high.

The Gators are also in a bit of a letdown spot. Florida took down then-No. 4 Ole Miss 52-28 last week in Gainesville, which catapulted the blue and orange from No. 21 in the AP Poll all the way up to No. 8.

Coming off such a momentous victory and heading into a tough environment, the Gators have a tough assignment in Week 5.

These teams are 5-5 against one another in their last 10 meetings and the last three matchups have been decided by a total of 10 points.

Playing at home, take the 5.5 points with Missouri.

Over 57.5 (-110)

Both of these rushing attacks have the ability to pick up big chunks of yards early and often. Missouri is still without their top running back Ahmad Hardy, but Jamal Roberts has stepped up to post strong numbers.

Through four games, Roberts has racked up 395 rushing yards, which ranks 3rd in the SEC.

Florida's Jadan Baugh has been even better, as he leads the SEC and ranks 2nd nationally with 600 rushing yards on the season.

Both teams figure to lean on the running game and both should be able to move the ball at a steady clip.

Florida has put up some ridiculous offensive numbers this season. The Gators have posted point totals of 66, 52, 44, and 52, which should give QB Aaron Philo and company plenty of confidence heading into this matchup.

Missouri QB Austin Simmons also seems to be in a good spot, as the Florida passing defense is allowing 248.8 yards per game through the air.

That ranks 15th out of 16 SEC teams.

Look for both teams to light up the scoreboard enough to take this one over the listed total of 57.5.

Jadan Baugh over 22.5 rushing attempts (-125)

Florida running back Jadan Baugh has emerged as a legitimate Heisman Trophy candidate through four games. He has already racked up 600 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns on the ground this season, and is averaging a strong 7.2 yards per rush.

Baugh saw 26 rushing attempts in Florida's SEC opener against Auburn and 29 rushing attempts last week against Ole Miss.

He may not push the 30-carry mark in this one, but it's tough to see his usage drop a significant amount.

The Florida offense is at its best when Baugh is getting consistent carries and, in a raucous road environment, the Gators could lean on the run game a solid amount.

Look for Baugh to see at least 23 rushing attempts on Saturday afternoon.
