Brentford remain undefeated in the Premier League after four games, though they have only secured one win, against Tottenham on the opening weekend. Since then, they have drawn with Leeds, Sunderland, and Bournemouth.
Chelsea have started their Premier League campaign with two wins, a draw, and a loss. They boast one of the deadliest front threes in the league, featuring João Pedro, Cole Palmer, and Morgan Rogers, who have combined for 14 goal contributions in four league games. Unfortunately, Pedro will miss the upcoming match due to a minor injury, leaving Danny Welbeck to lead the line.
A more pressing concern for Chelsea is their poor defensive form. The Blues have not kept a clean sheet since December 2025 and have conceded nine goals in the Premier League so far. Xabi Alonso has his work cut out for him in that department, but Chelsea have managed to secure positive results thanks to their goalscoring acumen.

Brentford are thin at the back, and it's hard to feel good about backup center backs against a potent Chelsea attack. Jannik Schuster is the most likely to fill in for Nathan Collins and Sepp van den Berg.

Injuries and Suspensions: Reece James (knock), Emmanuel Emegha (hamstring), Moises Caicedo (calf), Marco Palestra (discomfort), Jordan Henderson (wrist), Joao Pedro (knock), Dastan Satpaev (thigh).
Chelsea's injury woes continue, particularly in the midfield. Reece James, and Moises Caicedo are both doubtful, while Jordan Henderson is still sidelined with wrist injury. Up front, Joao Pedro is also out after picking up an injury against Hull City.
35-year-old Danny Welbeck is likely to start up front with Morgan Rogers and Cole Palmer behind him. Valentin Barco could get his first start in the Premier League with James and Caicedo on the sidelines.
