The NWSL is the highest level of competitive women's soccer in the United States.
Gotham FC won the 2025 NWSL Championship, and lifted their second title in the last three years. USWNT star Rose Lavelle scored the only goal to defeat the Washington Spirit in the 2025 Championship game.
If Gotham FC wins the Championship again this season, they'll become the second team to win the NWSL Championship three times. The only other team to win three Championships is the Portland Thorns (2013, 2017, 2022).
