Boca Juniors welcome Talleres to the iconic La Bombonera this weekend for Matchday 13 of the Argentine Primera División Clausura campaign.
Currently sitting third in Group A, Boca Juniors are determined to mount a serious title challenge following their disappointing exit in the Apertura round of 16, where they fell 3-2 after extra time against Huracán. Under manager Rodolfo Arruabarrena, the Xeneize view this encounter against bottom-placed Talleres as a crucial opportunity to claim all three points and bolster their playoff credentials.
Talleres have struggled to find consistent form this season. After being knocked out 1-0 in the Apertura round of 16 by eventual champions Belgrano, they have collected just nine points in the Clausura, leaving them with very slim hopes of advancing. Facing Boca away from home presents a formidable test for the visitors.
Recent Form
Talleres are winless in their last five encounters against Boca Juniors across all competitions. By its side, Boca remains unbeaten in their past four home matches against Talleres. Both teams head into this fixture following draws in their previous Clausura outings.
