The China Open features both an ATP 500 and a WTA 1000 event, taking place on the outdoor hard courts at the China National Center in Beijing.
The women's draw features 96 players and spans nearly two weeks, while the men's ATP tournament includes 32 players over one week. As a WTA 1000 event, the women's tournament boasts a larger prize pool, scaled to match WTA 1000 requirements compared to the ATP 500 level.
The WTA 1000 Beijing event boasts an increased prize pool for 2026, rising to $9,415,725. Last year's tournament features an $8,963,700 purse, with champion Amanda Anisimova taking home $1,124,380. By comparison, the ATP did not see as big of an increase, offering a total prize pool of $4,089,385 this year.
