Founded in 1948, Oxford United Football Club have experienced levels of English football, with its most notable period of success coming in the 1980s, which saw them win the EFL Cup in 1986, their only major trophy to date, and achieve promotion to the top flight of English football.
Playing their home fixtures at the Kassam Stadium and currently residing in the League One, Oxford United have spent most of their recent history in the lower divisions, alongside spells in the second and third tiers of English football.
