The England Women's National Football Team, also known as the Lionesses, were formed in 1972 and represent England in international women's football competitions.
One of women's football's most successful sides, the Lionesses were crowned UEFA Women's European Championship winners in 2022 and 2025, having previously been runners-up in 1984 and 2009. They were also runners-up in the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup.
The England Women's team have been represented by numerous legendary players, including Fara Williams - England's most-capped player - and Ellen White - the nation's all-time leading goal scorer, as well as the winning goalscorer in both the 2022 and 2025 Euros triumphs Chloe Kelly.
