Kvaratskhelia is at the centre of all of Villa's problems and the winger goes down in the penalty area under a challenge from Joao Gomes, but light-hearted appeals for a penalty are waved away by the referee.

The Georgian had danced his way into Villa's penalty area and allowed Doue to have a stab at goal. Villa clear but the ball returns to the feet of Kvaratskhelia, who cuts inside onto his right and fires a ferocious effort that rockets beyond Bizot.

Space opens up for Boubacar Kamara to step into and the Villa midfielder unleashes an effort at goal which drags wide of Safonov's post.

Signed with first-team ambitions rather than an acquisition for the development squad, Aston Villa paid £10m to secure Brian Madjo's services from FC Metz on his 17th birthday in January.
Madjo had only made his competitive debut four months earlier, becoming Metz's youngest debutant.
Arriving in Birmingham, Madjo immediately started training under Emery in Villa's first-team environment and feedback was glowing.
A physical monster who stands at 6ft 4in, Madjo is a powerful centre forward whose attributes are reminiscent of a former Villa striker in Jhon Duran.
However, due to FIFA regulations which prohibit international transfers under the age of 18, Villa were involved in a dispute with FIFA which prevented them from registering the forward.
Villa successfully appealed the ruling, enabling Madjo to play in competitive matches before turning 18 - starting with tonight's Super Cup.
PSG have shortened into 8/13 to lift the UEFA Super Cup.
