29' - England 0-0 Switzerland
Regrettably, it all feels like much of the same from England. The one shot they've had that's not been blocked so far was a looping Kane header from a corner that was never troubling Sommer. While Switzerland have had moments of decent territory, Pickford's had a quiet evening himself so far, and you wonder how happy Southgate is with the first half hour.
17' - England 0-0 Switzerland
England have applied some more pressure recently, but they're struggling to break down a Swiss defence that at times has nine outfield players camped inside the area. The Three Lions have mustered two shots so far, both blocked.
8' - England 0-0 Switzerland
Ndoye finds space down the right, centring the ball into the area which England need to deal with as Switzerland had a lot of bodies forward there. In terms of individual talent, England win hands down, but Switzerland's organisation both defensively and offensively makes this a very even contest so far.
5' - England 0-0 Switzerland
A little early warning for England as Switzerland go from back to front in a breath. A big hole in midfield with the ball working its way to the left wing. A slip from John Stones allows Freuler to be slid in through the middle, with Konsa extinguishing the attack.
2' - England 0-0 Switzerland
Well, in a surprise to everybody, Saka has started on the right, ahead of Walker, with Konsa starting at left-centre-back in place of the suspended Marc Guehi. There's obviously the versatility within the team to switch things up, but the thinking was that Saka would be left with Trippier right. It does again pose the question about how much width England will have with Saka and Trippier on opposite flanks to their stronger foot.
We are underway in Dusseldorf!
Jude Bellingham and Harry Kane head the betting for Player of the Match - understandably so considering the key role either man will have to play in an England win, with Phil Foden third in the betting. Granit Xhaka, who's quietly been one of the players of the tournament, is Switzerland's shortest priced player at 11/1.

While Switzerland have had goals from all over the pitch with seven different goalscorers, England's only goals have come from Jude Bellingham and Harry Kane, and with the Three Lions deploying a different system today, will someone else find the net?

Reports that England would start with a back three have been proven correct, as have reports that Kieran Trippier would start over Trent Alexander-Arnold at right-wing-back. England XI: Pickford, Walker, Stones, Konsa, Trippier, Saka, Mainoo, Rice, Bellingham, Foden, Kane Switzerland XI: Sommer, Schar, Akanji, Rodriguez, Rieder, Aebischer, Freuler, Xhaka, Nodye, Vargas, Embolo

England fans have been treated to their fair share of heartbreak over the years, and while a loss to Slovakia last week would've been right up there with the most ignominious defeats, it may well be that nothing ever tops the defeat to Iceland.
So why not raise your spirits ahead of this evening's game by reminding yourself that it really could be worse...
A catalogue of exceptional performances and an assist against Germany in the quarter-finals have thrusted Lamine Yamal to the head of the market, with the Spanish sensation now odds-on favourite to be named Young Player of the Tournament. Over on the opposite flank, La Roja's Nico Williams is second favourite to claim the gong, with England's Jude Bellingham and Turkey's Arda Guler in hot pursuit.

Cody Gakpo remains the favourite to finish as Top Goalscorer at the Euros. The Netherlands forward is one of four players currently on three goals, along with Jamal Musiala, Georges Mikautadze and Ivan Schranz. Importantly, Gakpo is the only one of the quartet still in the tournament. Harry Kane is second in the betting, though he trails the frontrunners by one. England's talisman was on the scoresheet against Slovenia and Kane boasts a decent record against Switzerland, having been on target twice against the Swiss in four appearances.

There's been considerable movement in a variety of outright markets following Friday's quarter-final results. One market in particular is the UEFA Player of the Tournament, with Spain's midfield maestro Rodri the new 9/2 favourite ahead of teenage superstar Lamine Yamal. Jude Bellingham is third in the betting and will be hoping to inspire England to glory against Switzerland, though he'd probably prefer not producing another last-gasp salvation act.

A semi-final berth is up for grabs and one of England or Switzerland will face the winner of tonight's showdown between the Netherlands and Turkey.
The match will be played at Borussia Dortmund's Westfalenstadion on Wednesday (20:00 KO), with the other semi-final between Spain and France scheduled for Tuesday at Bayern Munich's Allianz Arena.

After conquering host nation Germany in the quarter-finals, Spain are the new favourites to win Euro 2024. Mikel Merino's last-gasp winner in stoppage time - at the same venue where his father scored for Osasuna 33 years ago - consigned the Germans to elimination and set up a fascinating semi-final clash with France. Les Bleus are 5/2 second favourites after overcoming Portugal on penalties.

We don't know exactly how England will line up this evening, but if tonight's game is anything like the previous four, prepare yourself for another dull, low-scoring affair.

England have drifted slightly since the market was first made and are now 6/5 to win in 90 minutes and 4/7 to qualify.
Reports are that Gareth Southgate will move to a back three in the absence of Marc Guehi, and while the Three Lions' issues haven't been defensive, the move could free up Jude Bellingham and Phil Foden to play more familiar roles, with Bukayo Saka and either Kieran Trippier or Trent Alexander-Arnold providing the width.

Good morning and welcome to our live coverage of England v Switzerland!
There can't be many teams whose fans are more pessimistic than England's of those in the quarter-finals of Euro 2024 , but considering the nature of the Three Lions' performances so far, it's easy to understand why.
Having failed to register a shot on target against Slovakia until the 94th minute, despite trailing for most of the game, England scraped through to set up a clash with Switzerland.
And looking at the two sides on paper, not a single Swiss player would get in the England side - even Granit Xhaka, as impressive as he's been recently - yet this is far from a foregone conclusion. Switzerland were minutes away from topping their group having led against Germany - a fate they'll be glad to have avoided - and comprehensively outplayed Italy to reach the quarter-finals. While they may not have the individual talent of England, they've certainly looked the better organised of the two sides.
We'll have all the latest news , England v Switzerland odds and more here throughout the day.
