England v Switzerland Odds: Three Lions 6/5 to win in 90 minutes

England encounter Switzerland in their toughest challenge yet at Euro 2024 and we've priced up Gareth Southgate's men at 6/5 to win the quarter-final contest in 90 minutes.

After progressing to the knockout stages in underwhelming fashion, England were on the brink of elimination against Slovakia until Jude Bellingham pulled the rabbit out of the hat and conjured a moment of brilliance to spare Southgate's blushes.

Harry Kane ensured the Three Lions got the job done in extra-time and now Switzerland await them in Dusseldorf on Saturday, where England must improve on their feeble performance if they are to reach the last four of the competition.

England, who are currently favourites to win Euro 2024 despite their unconvincing progression so far, are 4/7 to qualify from this match, while Switzerland are 11/8 to reach their first-ever major tournament semi-final.

Murat Yakin's Swiss rolled over Italy in the previous round and have largely impressed so far in Germany. Unfortunate not to conquer Germany and top Group A, Switzerland banished the disappointment of Niclas Fullkrug's late winner with a domineering performance against Italy, carving opportunities at will and restricting the Italians to limited chances.

The spine of their team is strong, with Manchester City's Manuel Akanji marshalling a no-nonsense back three alongside Fabian Schar and Ricardo Rodriguez. Behind them is Yann Sommer, the goalkeeper that kept 23 clean sheets as Inter Milan reclaimed the Scudetto last term, and ahead is a familiar face in Bayer Leverkusen's Granit Xhaka, who has been integral to their attacking exploits.

Goals have come from all over the pitch with the Swiss boasting seven different goalscorers and Switzerland are 14/5 to win the match in 90 minutes.

Marc Guehi's suspension has prompted Southgate to reformulate and media reports have suggested that the England boss will alter to a back three, which would see Ezri Konsa accompany John Stones and Kyle Walker in central defence.

After his salvation act in Gelsenkirchen, Bellingham is predicted to operate as one of two No.10s alongside Phil Foden, according to media reports.

Bellingham is 2/1 to score or assist in the contest, while Foden - who's endured a subdued tournament so far - is 13/8 to register his first goal involvement of Euro 2024.

Harry Kane is still in the mix to finish Top Goalscorer and the Bayern Munich striker is 7/4 to score anytime in the match.

There is a word that most of us dread: penalties.

Three of England's last four major tournament quarter-finals have been settled on penalties and Switzerland's previous two European Championships exit have been settled on spot-kicks. It's 7/2 that the fixture is decided by a penalty shootout.
