York Dante Festival: Day three runners, riders & odds

The iconic Yorkshire Cup headlines the third and final day of the York Dante Festival.

Won by some greats of the past including the hat-trick getting Stradivarius, this staying contest was taken by the globetrotting Rebel's Romance 12 months ago.

Although the 14 furlong trip probably stretched him to his absolute limit stamina-wise, he ultimately stamped his class on the contest, beating Epic Poet by a head.

Godolphin's superstar eight-year-old has not returned to defend his crown in 2026. Instead it is Amiloc (11/8) who is expected to go off favourite in a quest to land Group 2 honours.

As a four-year-old he, and his main rival Rahiebb (7/2), could still be on the improve, whereas a good number of their rivals may have already hit their peak.

However, that doesn't mean the old guard are completely out of it, in fact, seven-year-old Epic Poet (5/1) is back in a bid to aveneg his narrow runner-up effort from last season.

Although as coming as part of the undercard, the Michael Seely Memorial Stakes, set to be ran at 14:20, is shaping up to be a high-class renewal.

The excellently bred So Regal (7/2) takes on the once-raced Synchronicity (15/8) who produced an eye-catching performance to win at Newbury on debut last month.

Pacific Mission (3/1) will be no back marker either, she finished runner-up Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf last season and has a marked experience advantage in comparison to her rivals.
