Kyren Wilson made history, becoming the first player to win the competition, defeating Judd Trump 10-8 in an all-English final.

Mark Williams made history in the 2025 tournament as he thrashed Shaun Murphy 10-3 in the final to become the oldest winner of a snooker ranking event.
