A staple of the modern day World Snooker Tour, the World Grand Prix was first staged back in 2015 when Judd Trump reigned supreme against record three-time winner Ronnie O'Sullivan.
The competition pits the top 32 players in the world, based on the one-year ranking list, against each other, with Neil Robertson heading into the 2026 edition as the reigning champion after defeating Stuart Bingham 10-0 in the 2025 final.
O'Sullivan is one of just six players to have captured the coveted title, claiming the honours in 2024 as well as 2021 and 2018, with Shaun Murphy, Barry Hawkins and Mark Allen joining 'The Rocket', Trump and Robertson in the list of those to have prevailed.
Chinese star Zhao Xintong is the defending champion of the World grand Prix, after he took home the top prize in 206, defeating compatriot Zhang Anda 10-6 in an all-Chinese final.
