It's so good to see Nathan Aspinall finally starting to put his recent demons to bed and look far more like the player we have come to know and love over the past five or six years.
The Asp delivered a headline performance in the quarter-finals, posting an average of 105.15 during his resounding 3-0 whitewash of Ryan Joyce - the highest average on record in a World Grand Prix match over two sets.
He appears to be peaking at the perfect time, and although Gerwyn Price will feel buoyed by the manner of his victory over compatriot Jonny Clayton, he was fortunate to get through.
Defeat looked inevitable for Price at one stage, yet his resilience came to the fore as he capitalised on several missed chances by Clayton. If the Iceman suffers another slow start he will be punished, and I can see Aspinall getting over the line in this clash.
The other semi-final pits Luke Humphries against James Wade and this has all of the ingredients for a phenomenal contest.
Humphries has quietly worked his way through the tournament and Cool Hand will have been delighted to stay under the radar, especially following the early elimination of his main rival Luke Littler.
However, he knows he will have to perform at his best to topple Wade, who has rolled back the years this week with the calibre of finishing that propelled him to two World Grand Prix titles.
The Machine appears relaxed, and in this tournament he's more dangerous than anyone, but Humphries will be desperate to end his run without a major title. His scoring power and reliable finishing should see him through on the night.
