Tottenham captain Cristian Romero is reportedly set to leave the club this summer.
The centre back joined Tottenham on an initial loan deal from Atalanta before the move was made permanent the following summer and has gone on to make 156 appearances for the North London outfit.
Romero was named vice-captain ahead of the 2023/24 season, before taking on the captaincy when Son Heung-min left the club 12 months later.
The World Cup winner was named Player of the Match as he led Spurs to their first trophy in 17 years when they beat Manchester United 1-0 in the 2025 UEFA Europa League final.
Roberto De Zerbi has already made a number of summer signings after helping the club avoid relegation from the Premier League, but it seems he may be without his club captain in 2026/27.
Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has exclusively revealed Romero is set to leave Tottenham this summer, with Inter holding talks with Spurs over a potential move.
The report also suggests La Liga giants Barcelona are interested in securing the services of the 28-year-old, who is currently concentrating on trying to help Argentina win back-to-back World Cups.
