World Cup Top Goalscorer Odds: Kylian Mbappe favourite as Kai Havertz shortens significantly

Even with an expanded 48-team, eight-game World Cup, it's unlikely Just Fontaine's record of 13 in a single tournament will ever be beaten, but Kylian Mbappe may have his sights set on becoming only the fourth man to hit double figures after his eight-goal haul in 2022.

Mbappe is the understandable favourite given his prowess in front of goal for Les Bleus, winning Golden Boot four years ago. Harry Kane, Golden Boot winner in 2018, has been in the form of his life for Bayern Munich and looks primed for a big tournament for the Three Lions.

Lionel Messi is third favourite after netting seven times for Argentina four years ago, while Erling Haaland spearheads a strong Norway outfit and is fourth favourite in the betting.
