Aidan O'Brien sends three chances to the St Leger but his stable jockey Ryan Moore will not be in the saddle at Doncaster.
After victories for Continuous, Jan Breughel and Scandinavia, the Ballydoyle maestro is searching a fourth-straight win in the fifth and final Classic of the season.
The Leger celebrates its 250th birthday on Saturday, however, three-time winning jockey Moore seems to have passed on his invite to the party.
Moore will instead ply his trade at Leopardstown, where day one of Irish Champions weekend takes centre stage.
In his absence, there are huge opportunities for the jockeys picking up rides for the O'Brien stable at Doncaster. Ronan Whelan -- already a Classic winner this year -- renews his partnership with the well-fancied Christmas Day, Wayne Lordan gets the leg up on Pierre Bonnard and Tom Marquand is the man chosen to steer home Amelia Earhart.
Marquand lifted Scandinavia home for O'Brien in 2025 and has also tasted Leger success aboard Galileo Chrome for Aidan's son, Joseph, in 2020.
Whilst Moore will miss out on potential Classic glory in Doncaster, his book of rides for Saturday's action doesn't look at all lacking in quality.
The 42-year-old has got a ride in all three Group 1 contests taking place in Dublin on Saturday; starting with exciting juvenile Darkness Falls in the Golden Fleece. He got off the mark in impressive fashion at the Curragh in late August, booking his ticket to this contest in the process.
Next up for Moore will be four-time Group 1 winner Precise, aiming to shrug off a bit of a losing run in the Matron Stakes. She put defeat to stablemate True Love in the 1,000 Guineas well behind by racking up back-to-back wins in the Irish equivalent and the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot.
Two subsequent losses to Blue Bolt have not dissuaded connections from having another crack at the Juddmonte filly; this time on home soil.
Saving the best till last, Moore will partner Constitution River in the feature Irish Champion Stakes.
Won by the likes of Sea The Stars, Golden Horn, Giant's Causeway and Sadler's Wells, the 10-furlong contest has a wealth of class and history behind it. Constitution River could be in that class, however, he will need to settle better than he did at York last time out.
If he does that, then he could take all the beating here and earn a place in the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe in October.
